Software
- Important: The version of the software you will need depends on the age of your USB MIDI Breath Controller. Devices purchased after 31 March 2017 require version 5.x or later. Earlier devices require instead version 4.x. Both versions are available for download below. Version 4.x and earlier will not detect newer breath controllers at all; version 5.x or later will instead detect older breath controllers but will inform the user to install and use version 4.x. Version 5.x or later also works with all breath controllers with tilt/nod sensor (BBC2), regardless of purchase date.
- Beginning with macOS 10.15 (Catalina), only 64-bit software is supported (versions 5.2 or 4.2beta below). If you use Gatekeeper (enabled by default), you will need to allow the app to run. In addition since the breath controller is an input device, you will need to grant "input monitoring" access to the software.
- Beginning with macOS 11 (Big Sur) new Apple silicon Macs might prompt to install Rosetta2 the first time the software runs, if it is not already available.
